Steve Jackson | Chief Executive Officer

Steve Jackson has been with Sandel for three years and is President and CEO of Sandel Avionics.

Mr. Jackson has more than 25 years of finance and operations experience in both large and small company environments, with over 10 years of experience as a CFO for several venture/private equity-financed companies including Verdezyene and FluxPower.  He was previously a Vice President at SAIC, where he held several significant financial management positions. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science degree in Accountancy from San Diego State University.

Javed Khan | Vice President of Operations

Javed Khan has been with Sandel Avionics for three years as the Vice President of Operations.

Javed has 20 years of experience in a wide range of industries, both domestic and international, in the areas of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering and Sales. Previously he has worked as the Director of Operations at TransDigm and Global Program Manager at Smiths Detection.

Javed has his BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Larry Riddle | Vice President Sales and Marketing

Larry joined Sandel Avionics in March of 2018 as VP of Sales and Marketing.

Larry has been active in the avionics industry for nearly 23 years and has spent the last 16 years in an executive leadership position with L3 Technologies Aviation Products Sector as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, representing both commercial and military market segments.

Larry has a BS in Aviation Technical Operations from Western Michigan University and holds an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate.

Delmar M. Fadden | Systems

Delmar Fadden is one of the originators of the Avilon concept as it evolved in the period between 2000 and 2012. He has been a fulltime consultant to Sandel since 2013 with primary focus on flight operations, human factors, and systems engineering.

Prior to his Avilon work Mr. Fadden had a 30-year career at Boeing in flight deck and avionics engineering, working on 757, 767, 747-400, 737NG, and P-8A, along with advanced avionics research. He became Chief Engineer for all commercial airplane flight deck activities and was the technology focal for the 757-767 common type rating and the highly successful extended range overwater (ETOPS) program for twin engine aircraft. Delmar joined Boeing after 6 years as an USAF pilot flying C-135 and C-141 aircraft in worldwide operations. In addition to his 4000 hours of jet experience, Mr. Fadden is a licensed, commercial, multi-engine, instrument pilot with 1000 hours of light airplane flying accumulated over the last 20 years.

He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degrees from the University of Washington.

David Lanning | Vice President of Engineering

David Lanning has been with Sandel for a total of 5 years and is the VP of Engineering.

Mr. Lanning has more than 35 years of experience in avionics development beginning in 1984 at King Radio and stayed with King Radio through various mergers and acquisitions. He was involved in several research projects, eventually becoming the lead hardware engineer for the Apex Integrated Cockpit before his promotion to Chief Technology Officer for the Bendix/King product line under Honeywell’s Business, Regional, and General Aviation division. David joined Sandel Avionics in 2005 leading a small team in the development of the SA4550 Primary Attitude Display and contributed to the early research, which eventually became the Avilon Flight Deck project. In 2008, he went to Butler National Corporation to develop custom aircraft modifications for special mission applications before rejoining Sandel in 2017.

David has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and extensive experience in all aspects of avionics systems, hardware, and software development acquired over his career.
